Burnaby’s Holiday Spirit
Have a jolly good time in Burnaby this season. It’s easy to get into the holiday spirit with plenty of fun, family-friendly activities throughout the city.
Explore Burnaby Village Museum’s Heritage Christmas now through January 5 (presented by Concord Pacific), where you’ll find a charming village with festive wreaths, cedar swags, vintage-themed displays and brilliant light displays.
This annual old-fashioned Christmas event also boasts some festive, family-friendly fun – including holiday sing-alongs, performances at Brookfield Hall, children’s crafts, a visit with Father Christmas, the Twelve Days of Christmas scavenger… and so much more. Plus, no visit to the Burnaby Village Museum is complete without a whirl on the vintage carousel. Admission is free, and carousel rides are $2.65 each.

• Ugly Christmas Sweater Toonie Skate at Bill Copeland on December 23 – Bring family, friends and those dear to you and enjoy some holiday cheer, along with crafts, games and a visit with Santa and his friends. $2 admission includes skate and helmet rentals. All ages.
• New Year’s Eve Toonie Skate at Kensington on December 31 – Celebrate New Year’s Eve on ice, along with face painting, crafts and games. $2 admission includes skate and helmet rentals. All ages.
• Polar Bear Toonie Skate at Bill Copeland on January 1 – Help ring in the New Year at this toonie skate with face painting, crafts and games. $2 admission includes skate and helmet rentals. All ages.
